When it comes to designers that buy stones for their designs,there was one vendor that was the most sought out & that was the late
LARRY COOLEY.
.Larry was known for years in the industry as the ‘go-to stone guy’ when designers wanted the most premium turquoise, with the best & most unique cuts,along with the highest quality that they then put into their jewelry designs.In this industry,all you have to say is "Larry Cooley Turquoise" & one automatically thinks "quality"..
Federico was one who would get his supply of stones from Larry & these 2 were extremely close & such good friends,so much so that before Larry passed,he requested that his huge,vast & HIGHLY collectible collection of 1950's-1960's mined turquoise be passed on to Federico..Federico turned these stones into some of his most exquisite designs & once this “special-premium collection” are used,there will be no more..This turquoise is the best quality you can get & were mined before they started treating turquoise,so they come un-treated,un-stabilized & are the quality that you'll find in vintage Native American jewelry before mines started to be depleted,closed down & before 'treating' began.

DESCRIPTION:
The making of this necklace was Federico's pride,so much so that he used it for a photo shoot for his high-end shows.(See photo) I was lucky to get this necklace & to be able to bring such a piece of this magnitude to you!! It was specially made with love & lots of dedicated time..You will not find another,since it is literally one of a kind & one of Federico's best..
This is a heavily clustered necklace that is made of a sampler mix that's mostly from Nevada,with many of the cuts from mines that are now closed & you literally can't get your hands on, because of either going into collector's hands or paying a sky rocketed price for this quality.

The Kachina is designed out of large rectangle cuts that emulate the body & has small square tiles that outline the body.The Kachina's face is made with Morenci turquoise & has some of the most beautiful blue with lots of white quartz & pyrite matrix & has a headdress of large elongated oval cuts.The round cuts represent earrings.
The necklace is made of numerous rectangular cuts that are very evenly matched in size& are connected by “O” rings on the back end & lead to a very unique closure & is identifiable to Federico.It is designed in a cluster setting & this is where the hidden clasp is..What you do is, push down on the turquoise cabochons & slide the 'tongue' clasp out.When it's closed,it just looks like a large round cluster,so no one actually sees the closure.
