TURQUOISE PROVENANCE:
The turquoise these are made with come from the 'LARRY COOLEY' 1950's-'60's mined turquoise collection..Larry was known in the industry as the ‘go-to' turquoise guy’ who was known for having
THE
biggest,the baddest,highest quality,along with the most incredible collection of premium turquoise out of anyone,so that when designers like Federico would come along to buy,he could use these gems for his own jewelry designs.
Federico & Larry were extremely close & were such good friends,so much so that before Larry passed,he requested that his huge & HIGHLY collectible collection of vintage mined turquoise be passed on to Federico because Larry knew that Federico was the best one who would put these stones to the best of their use. Federico of course, put these stones into some of his most incredibly designed pieces you'll ever see (These are just one example!) & once the stones are used up,they're gone..(See my Federico necklace,earrings,bracelet,ring listings)
Larry had a big reputation for his turquoise & all you had to do was say "Larry Cooley Turquoise" & that alone, said it all..

THE EARRINGS:
Those of us that know Federico's work know that he takes designs where others fail to go & is able to give those that love 'Over the Top-Big" what they love,while at the same time always keeping everything extremely classy,as well as sophisticated. He literally gives 'Huge' new meaning!
Turquoise hoop earrings just don't get any more fabulous than these & if they weren't "One of a Kind", I would consider keeping them!  They are true "Showstoppers" that may make you feel a little bit like a "Rock Star" when you wear them!!! They are absolutely

Anchored from the cluster cross tops, is a hand cut out-domed shaped hoop, that is all hammered & stamped in it's entirety (As well as the backside) & which gives the hoop the texture look they have..The hoops are made of a non-bendable, heavier gauge sterling.(See weights below)..Bezel set atop of the sterling is a double row of evenly matched tear drop & round cluster cuts of premium-Gem Grade-vivid blue Sleeping Beauty turquoise,with accents of some fine high grade marquise cuts of
Bisbee turquoise.
What was in Larry's private collection was nothing less than
THE
best, so anything Federico made with this turquoise, is always going to be a sure guarantee you'll be getting some of the highest qualities that any of these mines produced..You just don't get this quality of stone like you did back in the day & when you do find it,you're going to pay a pretty penny for these premium qualities, since the price per carat for natural & higher qualities have literally skyrocketed in price. The turquoise in these earrings were of course mined way before the Sleeping Beauty mine closed some 4-5 years back & came at a time before 'treating' began, mines were being depleted & are now closed down & because the mine has since shut down,this turquoise has become very valuable. The Bisbee of course speaks for itself!

These have some weight,so please pay attention to the weight before purchasing** I do however carry a product called, "LOBE WONDERS" that are perfect when your wearing a heavier earring & don't want to tear the ear.
